locals-trust (locals-trust.us) is published by Cone Red Inc, Sheridan, WY, USA. This page explains what information this site collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
When you visit this site
We count visits so we can see which pages are useful and how people find them, for example through an answer in an AI assistant such as ChatGPT. For this we use Umami, an open-source analytics tool that we run on our own server. When you open a page, your browser sends us:
- the page you opened and its title, including any tags in the link that brought you here (for example
utm_source=chatgpt.com); - the website that sent you here, if any;
- your browser, operating system, type of device, screen size and language;
- your approximate location (country, region and city), worked out from your internet (IP) address.
Umami does not use cookies, does not store your IP address, and does not follow you across other websites. We do not use advertising trackers, and we never sell this information or share it for advertising. The site works the same if your browser or a content blocker stops the analytics.
Hosting and server logs
The pages of this site are delivered by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages), which handles your request, including your IP address, in order to show you the page. Our analytics and our forms run on a server we rent from Hetzner in Nuremberg, Germany, so information you send us is stored there. Like most web servers, ours keeps a technical log of requests (IP address, time, the address requested and the browser) to keep the service secure and working.
Joining a chapter
If you apply to join a town chapter, the form asks for your business name, your trade, your Florida license number (optional), your name, your email address and your phone number (optional), and for your agreement to the code of conduct. We save your application together with the date and time you agreed and the version of the code of conduct you agreed to. We do not record which website or link brought you to the form.
We use your application only to check your business against the chapter's criteria (for example in Florida's state license register), to contact you about your application, and to keep a record that you agreed to the code of conduct. The chapter team at Cone Red sees it. When an application arrives, a short notice with your business name, town and trade, without your contact details, is sent to the chapter team through Telegram.
We keep your application while it is being considered and, if your business joins, for as long as it is in the chapter. If your application is turned down or withdrawn, we delete it within 90 days. If your business leaves the chapter, we delete its record one year after it leaves. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time. Backup copies are made every night on the same server and kept for 14 days.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to [email protected]. You can also block the analytics in your browser at any time; nothing on the site depends on it.

If what this site collects changes, we update this page and the date at the top before the change goes live.
